Reel Block ("we", "us", "our" or "Company") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our browser extension.

2. Data Collection

We do NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

Reel Block operates entirely locally on your device. We do not:

  • Collect browsing history
  • Track website visits
  • Store any user data on external servers
  • Use analytics or tracking services
  • Share any information with third parties
  • Use cookies or tracking pixels

3. Local Storage

Reel Block uses your browser's local storage to remember your preferences and settings. This data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. You can clear this data at any time by:

  • Right-clicking the extension icon → "Manage extension"
  • Going to "Storage" and clearing the extension's data
  • Uninstalling the extension

4. No Third-Party Services

Reel Block does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or data collection services. We do not use Firebase, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or any other analytics platform.

5. Open Source

Reel Block is open-source software. You can verify exactly what the extension does by reviewing the source code on our GitHub repository. There are no hidden features or secret data collection.

6. Permissions

Reel Block requests the following permissions:

  • storage: To store your preferences locally
  • activeTab: To detect which site you're on
  • host_permissions: To run on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok

These permissions are used only to block reels on your device. No data is transmitted elsewhere.

7. No Advertising

Reel Block does not display ads or use any advertising networks. The extension is completely ad-free.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted to this page. Your continued use of Reel Block following such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

10. Your Rights

Since we don't collect any data about you, you have nothing to worry about. You can uninstall Reel Block at any time, and all local data will be removed from your device.
